Das African Hills Safari Lodge befindet sich im privaten Wildreservat Plumari auf dem Magaliesberg, etwas mehr als eine Stunde von Johannesburg oder Pretoria entfernt und bietet seinen Gästen ein unvergessliches Wildlife-Erlebnis in einer malariafreien Umgebung.
Das Reservat liegt in einer unberührten Wildnis von 6800 Hektar mit natürlichem afrikanischen Buschfeld und einer Fülle von Flora, Fauna, Vögeln und Wildtieren.
Unterkunft
Die Main Lodge mit Blick auf den Elephant Dam lädt die Gäste ein, einen Schritt zurück in die Vergangenheit zu machen und südafrikanische Dekorationsstücke aus dem 19. Jahrhundert zu bewundern. Pantoffelbäder, Waschtische, Gepäcktruhen, antike Schränke und Tische aus Oregon sind subtil in der Umgebung platziert, um die faszinierende Geschichte des Magaliesbergs hervorzuheben.
Die African Hills Safari Lodge verfügt über eine der größten Privatsammlungen von Ochsenwagen, Karren und anderen von Tieren gezogenen Fahrzeugen aus der Zeit von 1800 bis 1900. Eine Vielzahl von Artefakten aus der Stein- und Eisenzeit, Gegenstände aus dem SA-Krieg und Felszeichnungen von San Bushmen erzählen die Geschichte von das Gebiet, das auch für die Schlacht von Nooitgedacht bekannt ist. Beispiele sind im Museum erhältlich und geführte Buschwanderungen führen die Gäste durch Gebiete, in denen viele Steinschnitzereien (Petroglyphen) zu finden sind.
Das African Hills Safari Lodge bietet romantische Kurzurlaube, Konferenzen, Teambuilding-Initiativen, Schulungen und Hochzeiten in seinen 48 Zimmern, der Main Lodge und dem Day Visitors Center.
Naturliebhaber und Vogelbeobachter werden die Erfahrung am lohnendsten finden, während gestresste Stadtbewohner sich verjüngt und ausgeruht fühlen werden.
Im Herzen der Lodge befindet sich das Spa, das sich zu einem Außenpool und einem privaten Garten öffnet.

Our garden rooms are situated on the other side of the lodge in the beautiful landscaped gardens with views of the swimming pool. Each room can be made up as a double or twin. These rooms are newer and with more modern fittings compared to the rest of the lodge rooms. Room amenities include an en-suite bathroom with shower or bathtub only, air-conditioning, bathroom amenities, bathrobes and slippers, safe, mini bar (stocked on request), TV with selected DSTV channels, wireless internet and tea and coffee making facilities.
