Mambakloof Country Estate is situated on a fully operational cattle farm. This beautiful farm is located in the Eastern Free State, near a small town, Vrede. Visitors can expect a hidden oasis with a tranquil lake view and some beautiful game.

Accommodation

Mambakloof Country Estate's luxurious rooms ensure that our guests experience all the comfort they need. Each unit is air-conditioned and has a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV with DStv, Wi-Fi internet access, a kitchenette fitted with a bar fridge, induction plate and tea and coffee station, as well as outdoor braai facilities and a beautiful panoramic view on the lake.

Attractions

The pretty little town of Vrede lies in what is described as the 'spine' of the Drakensberg, surrounded by rolling hills covered in highveld grasses, in the Free State. Situated just off the N3 north east of Harrismith and virtually on the border with Mpumalanga, Vrede is on the main route from Johannesburg via Newcastle to the North Coast. The town's Afrikaans name "Vrede" can be directly translated to "Peace" in English.
