Ein unberührtes 3000 Hektar großes Naturschutzgebiet in der Nähe von Robertson, Amathunzi bietet weite Ausblicke auf sanfte Hügel und Täler, die von Karoo Fynbos bedeckt sind, umgeben von majestätischen Bergen - ein Ort der Ruhe und Privatsphäre.
Weniger als 2 Stunden von Kapstadt entfernt, aber Lichtjahre von der Großstadt entfernt, bietet Amathunzi eine wunderbare Kombination: die Freude, in unberührte Natur eingetaucht zu sein, und das sinnliche Vergnügen, sich in den Luxus zu entspannen - gut gefederte Betten und weiche Bettwäsche ; ein köstlich cooler Pool; eine gut ausgestattete Küche, in der jemand anderes den Abwasch macht; eine Dusche mit Aussicht. Die Hütte
Die Hauptlodge am See umfasst einen geselligen zentralen Wohn- und Unterhaltungsbereich unter Strohdach und ist von weitläufigen Decks umgeben. Ideal für Gruppen oder Einzelpersonen, die ihre Privatsphäre zu schätzen wissen, sind die fünf en-suite Chalets völlig separat, jedes mit eigenem Eingang, Stoep und Holzkamin und mit einem Kingsize-Bett unter Stroh gedeckt. Es gibt einen privaten Pool zum Abkühlen und eine geschlossene Boma für Unterhaltung unter den Sternen. Die Lodge kann als Selbst- oder Vollpension gebucht werden.
Das Herrenhaus
Das Herrenhaus liegt nur eine kurze Autofahrt von der Lodge entfernt und ist ideal für eine eng verbundene Gruppe von Freunden oder zwei Familien, mit großzügigen Wohnbereichen, zwei separaten Unterkunftsflügeln (insgesamt 6 Schlafzimmer, 4 en-suite) und atemberaubender Aussicht. Der riesige, steinverkleidete Pool und die schattige Veranda mit großem Grillplatz spiegeln die Großzügigkeit wider, die das Haus durchzieht.
Das Cottage
Das kompakte Cottage mit 1 Schlafzimmer bietet Platz für 2 Personen oder kann von einer kleinen Familie genutzt werden. Es gibt einen Grill im Freien.
Spielbetrachtung
Zu den Arten gehören Elenantilopen, Gemsböcke, Kuhantilopen, Kudus, Schwarzgnus, Springböcke, Bonteböcke, Zebras und andere schwer fassbare Kreaturen wie der Erdferkel und der Kapberg-Leopard.
Vogelbeobachtung
Birdwatchers werden angesichts des Wasserreichtums auf dem Grundstück gut belohnt. Zu den Arten, die beobachtet werden können, gehören der Schwarze Geländeläufer, der Habichtshabicht, der Malachit-Sonnenvogel und verschiedene Eulen.
Mountainbiken
Die beste Möglichkeit, das Reservat zu erkunden, ist das ausgedehnte Jeep-Streckennetz. Wir stellen einige Mountainbikes zur Verfügung, aber Gäste können ihre eigenen mitbringen.
Wanderwege
Geführte Naturwanderungen oder selbst geführte Wanderungen, von gemütlichen Spaziergängen bis hin zu anspruchsvollen Bergwanderungen.

Eine Weinprobe in der Region Robertson ist ein Vergnügen, mit Weingütern, die von bekannten Namen bis zu Genossenschaften mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis reichen; Wir beraten Sie gerne bei der Weinprobe. Reiten kann auf benachbarten Bauernhöfen arrangiert werden. Kajakfahren den Breede River während des ganzen Jahres ist nach vorheriger Absprache verfügbar. Besuchen Sie die historische Stadt McGregor, die weniger als 20 km entfernt ist, oder fahren Sie nach Montagu (40 km).
